INTRO
An Egyptian-Canadian filmmaker by way of an abandoned software engineering degree. My diverse and multicultural background has helped me develop a sense of belonging nowhere — and everywhere — and a cynical optimism that lends itself to my work.
WHAT I DO
Director / Cinematographer shooting narrative, doc, branded, and music videos across MENA, Europe, and Canada. Clients include Coca-Cola, Vodafone, MBC, Vice Arabia, and a stack of indie work with brilliant creatives who keep me honest. I like curious stories that ask big, look sharp, and hang around long after.

When I'm not filming or waiting in transit between Vancouver & Cairo, I'm making posters and illustrations. Some are available in print for purchase at Cairopolitan and some are featured in 100 Best Arabic Posters, Cairo: Images of Transition, The Cairo Review of Global Affairs.
